Summer Intervention Program CDBA Ontario is pleased to announce that the Summer Intervention Program will be available for 2010. This program is designed to assist families in hiring a Summer Intervenor who will work with their child who is deafblind. Eligibility for the program is determined by the following four criteria:
The basic program offers 210 hours of Intervention services (6 weeks of Intervention at 30 hours per week, plus 30 hours of paid training for the Summer Intervenor) and is available to individuals who meet the criteria outlined below. For families who are current members of CDBA Ontario, the level of service is enhanced to 240 hours of Intervention services (7 weeks of Intervention at 30 hours per week, plus 30 hours of paid training for the Summer Intervenor).
Once approved to receive the funding, the child’s family is then responsible for locating and hiring a Summer Intervenor. Summer Intervenors must also meet eligibility criteria, due to the regulations imposed by our funding source. They must:
