Parent Conference 2011

Dear Members

We are happy to announce the 12th annual Parent Conference!
The 2011 Parent Conference has been scheduled for November 11-13 and will once again bring together families of children who are deafblind from across the province in a fun, relaxing, and informative atmosphere. Due to the positive feedback from the past two Parent Conferences, we will be returning to the lovely Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood.
Back by popular demand will be the much-anticipated silent auction, proceeds from which help to offset the cost of the conference. Devin Shyminsky, Communications Coordinator is already hard at work preparing for this event. If you have an item you would like to donate please contact Devin at the office (ext. 129) and he will be happy to assist you.
Conference registration fees for the weekend have been set at $90.00 per person, which includes accommodations and all meals. We invite you to fill out the attached registration form and submit it to the office, along with your payment, by Friday October 14th, 2011. Payment options include VISA, MasterCard or cheque (made payable to CDBA Ontario). Registrations paid by credit card may be faxed or mailed to the office, or may be scanned and emailed to info@cdbaontario.com.
The Parent Conference Weekend is designed with parents in mind, and the program content reflects this theme. Having said this, we know that some members experience difficulty arranging support for their child who is deafblind in order to attend the weekend. If you are facing this situation, we strongly encourage you to contact Sue Hall (ext. 130) and we can work together to try and come to a comfortable resolution.
For those of you who have attended Parent Conferences in the past, you know how wonderful they can be, and we certainly look forward to seeing you again. For other parents who have never attended before, we sincerely hope that this will be the year that you start
